''BAMBUSA TEXTILIS GRACILIS''

Gracilis Bamboo is the most popular selling bamboo species in Australia. Growing to a height of around 8 metres tall in the right conditions, it is commonly utilised as a live option for privacy screening. Gracilis is a non invasive, clumping bamboo, growing upright (not fanning out like most bamboo types) & will not spread like other running bamboo varieties, making it perfectly suited to grow around the home even in small landscapes.

Once established Gracilis is very hardy & a generally low maintenance plant that can be grown pretty much anywhere in Australia. It can withstand cold temperatures down to -12 degrees Celsius and is also tolerant to summer heats and drought.  Once established it requires little upkeep, however regular watering is required when first planted to protect younger plants from drying out and being damaged by the heat.

Gracilis is extremely quick growing and can be fully grown within 18 - 24 months, or quicker when purchasing established sizes.
