The Bismarck palm (Bismarckia Noblis) is native to the island of Madagascar. It can grow into a massive palm so it is best for large landscape areas as a feature palm but can also be potted. It needs a lot of space, growing in cultivation to a height of 12 metres from a single trunk with a spread of 7-8 metres wide in a sphere shape. The fronds can grow to reach 3 metres across, they are curved and will fan out to fill spaces around the trunk.
