The Mt Lewis King Palm also known as the Purple Alexander Palm is a gorgeous rare Australian native that is a close relative to the Alexander and Bangalow Palms. It is characteristic of a beautiful  purple crownshaft, which can be almost red immediately after an old leaf base has fallen or been removed.
